Divestment of Compounds completed

 

Synthomer plc ('Synthomer' or 'the Group') today announces the completion of
its divestment of the latex compounding operations ('the Compounds business')
to Matco NV for consideration of c.€27.5m, equivalent to an EV/standalone
trailing EBITDA multiple of 6 times.

 

The divestment (conditionally announced on 14 April) is expected to result in
a modest profit on disposal, and includes two manufacturing sites in the
Netherlands and one in Egypt. The divestment proceeds will be used to reduce
Group net debt.
