Profile Summary
Structural Monitoring Systems Plc is an Australia-based company engaged in the design and manufacture of electronic products and the provision of manufacturing services to the aviation industry. The Company is engaged in the development and commercialization of its Comparative Vacuum Monitoring (CVM) sensor technology. Its sensors are designed to streamline identifying and/or monitoring cracks in metal structures and can be operated as an early warning system. The CVM technology offers a method for in-situ monitoring of crack initiation and/or propagation. CVM technology provides a measure of the differential pressure between alternating channels containing air at a partial vacuum pressure and channels containing air at atmospheric channels in a simple manifold. The Company operates predominantly in three industries, being structural health monitoring (CVM), avionics and contract manufacturing. The Company has operations in North America, Europe/ United Kingdom and others.
