Profile Summary
The Straits Trading Company Limited is a Singapore-based conglomerate-investment company with operations as well as financial interests in resources, property and hospitality. The Company's investments include majority or strategic stakes in Malaysia Smelting Corporation Berhad, a tin producer; ESR Group and Far East Hospitality Holdings, as well as a diversified property portfolio and real estate investment that is wholly owned by the Company. Its segments include Resources, Real Estate, Hospitality, and Others. Resources segment includes the smelting of tin concentrates and tin bearing materials, the production of various grades of refined tin metal, and the sale and delivery of refined tin metal and by-products. Real Estate segment comprises property investment, sales and leasing, property development, and property and real estate fund management. Hospitality comprises hotel ownership and hotel management. The Others segment comprises group-level corporate and treasury service.
