Solid State plc is a United Kingdom-based value-added electronics group supplying industrial and defense markets with durable components, assemblies and manufactured systems for use in critical applications, with a particular emphasis on harsh operational environments. The Company has a core focus on industrial and ruggedized computing, battery power solutions, antennas, secure radio systems, imaging technologies, and electronic components and displays. The Company operates through two divisions: Components and Systems. The Systems division has capabilities in the design, manufacture, supply and through life support of high-performance systems. The Components division's business provides products and services in three areas: own-brand manufactured components, franchised components, and the provision of value-added services such as sourcing and obsolescence management. The Company operates under the brands of Steatite, Solsta, Custom Power, Pacer, Active Silicon, Gateway and Durakool.
