Profile Summary
Silex Systems Limited is a technology commercialization company. The Company is focused on the commercialization of its Separation of Isotopes by Laser EXcitation (SILEX) laser enrichment technology for application to uranium production and enrichment (nuclear power), silicon enrichment (silicon quantum computing) and medical isotope enrichment (new cancer therapies). Its segments include Silex Systems, Translucent and Silex USA. Silex Systems is based in New South Wales and Translucent and Silex USA are based in North Carolina. The SILEX technology has been under development for uranium enrichment jointly with exclusive licensee Global Laser Enrichment LLC. It is also focused on the development of additional commercial applications of the SILEX technology, including the production of Zero-Spin Silicon for the emerging technology of silicon-based quantum computing. It has an interest in a semiconductor technology known as cREO through its ownership of subsidiary Translucent Inc.
