Transaction in own shares
Prudential plc (the "Company") announces today it has purchased the following
number of its ordinary shares of 5 pence each through Barclay Securities
Limited (the "Bank") on the London Stock Exchange in accordance with the
authority granted by shareholders at the Company's 2024 Annual General Meeting
(the "Purchase"). The Purchase was effected in accordance with the agreement
entered into with the Bank, as announced on 5 December 2024.
Date of purchase: 27 February 2025
Aggregate number of ordinary shares purchased: 260,000
(ISIN GB0007099541)
Lowest price paid per share: GBP 7.1680
Highest price paid per share: GBP 7.2680
Average price paid per share: GBP 7.2351
The Company intends to cancel the purchased shares. Following the above
transaction, the Company will have 2,632,877,141 shares in issue.
Therefore, the total number of voting rights in the Company will be
2,632,877,141 and this figure may be used by shareholders as the denominator
when determining whether they are required to notify their interest in, or a
change to their interest in, the Company under the FCA's Disclosure Guidance
and Transparency Rules.
All shares were purchased from the Bank as an on-exchange transaction subject
to the rules of the London Stock Exchange and the Hong Kong Code on Share
Buy-backs.
