PGS ASA, formerly known as Petroleum Geo-Services ASA, is a Norway-based technologically focused oilfield service company involved in providing geophysical services worldwide. PGS ASA is a Holding Company for the PGS Group. The Group acquires, images, and markets reliable Three-Dimensional (3D) data that adds to the understanding of the subsurface. It services comprise seismic data acquisition, subsurface imaging, rock physics, and reservoir characterization. The Company has one operating segment focused on delivery of seismic data and services. The Group has offices in 14 countries. PGS ASA’s subsidiaries include such companies as PGS Suporte Logistico e Servicos Ltda, Petroleum Geo-Services Asia Pacific Pte Ltd, Petroleum Geo-Services Exploration (M) Sdn Bhd and PT Petroprima Geo-Servis Nusantara.
