Profile Summary
OCL Iron and Steel Limited is an India-based company that is primarily engaged in the production of steel billets and sponge iron with plants located in iron ore and coal-rich. The Company’s segments include Steel, Power and Auto. Its products and process include steel billets, direct reduced iron (DRI) and power. Its caster has a design range of producing approximately 80 square millimeters to 200 square millimeters. The Company is self-reliant for power and exports approximately six megawatts (MW) of power to the grid. Its power is generated from the waste heat recovery boiler (WHRB) from the DRI process. The state of art Atmospheric Fluidised Bed Combustion (AFBC) Boiler with Turbo generation of approximately 18 MW is installed. The Company also has an over 14 MW captive power plant that supports all the energy requirements and has a power purchase agreement with Grid Corporation of Orissa to sell surplus power.
