REPURCHASE OF SHARES INTO TREASURY

Today the Company purchased into Treasury 300,000 Ordinary shares at 103.72
pence per share.

 

Following the transaction the Company holds 210,333,740 ordinary shares in
Treasury. The shares in issue less the total number of Treasury shares
1,113,301,510. The Company will only re-issue shares held in treasury at a
premium to net asset value.
