El Capitan Precious Metals, Inc. is a mining company. The Company is principally engaged in the mining of precious metals and other minerals. The Company, through its subsidiary, El Capitan, Ltd. holds the 100% equity interest in the El Capitan property located near Capitan, New Mexico. The El Capitan Property is situated in the Capitan Mountains, near the city of Capitan, in southwest New Mexico. The Company's El Capitan property consists of approximately 354 Bureau of Land Management (BLM) lode claims and four patented claims. The claim block is located in Lincoln County, New Mexico and occupies a total of approximately 3,000 acres. The tertiary intrusions from the Lincoln County porphyry belt include at least 11 stocks and laccoliths.
