Brookside Energy Limited is an Australia-based company, which is engaged in the exploration, production and appraisal of oil and gas projects. It operates in the oil and gas sector through its activities in the industry focused on the mid-continent region of the United States. It is engaged in the exploration of the Anadarko Basin. The Anadarko Basin is a geologic feature covering over 50,000 square miles primarily in west-central Oklahoma, but including the upper Texas Panhandle, southwestern Kansas, and south-eastern Colorado. It is also focused on two oil and gas plays, including STACK and SCOOP. The STACK consists of the Sooner Trend, Anadarko Basin, Canadian and Kingfisher Counties and SCOOP consists of the South-Central Oklahoma Oil Province. The Plays are being developed using modern horizontal drilling and completion techniques targeting the Mississippian aged formations and the Woodford Shale itself (which the organic rich source rock for the hydrocarbons in the basin).
