Profile Summary
Altona Rare Earths Plc is a United Kingdom-based resource exploration and development company. The Company’s principal activity is that of being a rare earths exploration, development and extraction company focusing on opportunities in Africa. The Company’s flagship project is the Monte Muambe REE project, located in Mozambique. The Monte Muambe Rare Earths Project is a carbonatite hosted REE exploration project. Monte Muambe is an approximately four kilometers (km) diameter circular carbonatite intrusion and is located in Tete Province, Northwestern Mozambique. The project is held under prospecting license 7573L. The tenement has a surface area of 39.39 square Kilometers (km2), within which there are no human settlements. The Company's subsidiaries include Altona Rare Earths (Uganda) Limited, Altona Rare Earths (Tanzania) Limited, Altona Rare Earths Mauritius Ltd and Monte Muambe Mining Lda.
