A long-term investor holding quality, healthy-yielding stocks to balance a riskier side of high-growth, high-volatility holdings which promise (and occasionally deliver) jam tomorrow. I like basic industrials, pharma, healthcare equipment, aerospace and manufacturing. I avoid financials and anything that I can't get my head around. And now avoid junior E&Ps / miners as they are a sure-fire way to lose most of your captial.
