A long term view

We believe the best investment results are obtained through long-term strategic thinking. Our aim is to identify attractive, alternative investment opportunities in an ever-changing investment landscape; hence much of what we do is driven by the macro views expressed in the Absolute Return Letter.

Flexible Approach

We listen to our clients to understand their priorities, including return and income objectives, risk tolerances and liquidity preferences. We then tailor our service to the precise needs of our clients.

Most of our clients are institutional investors with limited internal resources allocated to alternative investments; hence our task is to assist them in establishing alternative investment portfolios meeting their specific needs. For some clients who are happy to construct portfolios themselves, we assist in identifying the very best ideas.

Our current view is that the return on bonds will be negligible, possibly even negative, over the next five years. Equities are likely to perform better than bonds, but our return expectations for the broader financial markets still remain below historical levels.

Faced with a challenging environment a different approach is required. That is precisely what we aim to do. We focus on identifying and researching attractive investment opportunities in the alternatives space.

We dedicate significant resources to qualitative and quantitative research as well as to investment and operational due diligence. We believe our investment process is robust and we are proud of our rigorous approach.
