What time do StockRanks get updated every day? (Also for the US markets)
I think the old website used to have a status in the footer so you could see the latest data and ranks status but I don’t see that feature in the new app.
Any comments appreciated!
Here you go... basically from round midnight to 6:30 am UK time.. Sounds like quite a bit of data crunching is involved...
All our fundamental data (including StockRanks) is updated before the market opens in the relevant timezone. For the UK market it's currently at about 6am, but we do have a new data system that we're rolling out in Q1 which should enable us to deliver the data much earlier.
I think the much bigger issue is the timeliness and accuracy of data used to calculate rankings rather than when the calculations are performed on any particular day. A lot of post-Covid withdrawn broker estimates linger(ed) on Stockopedia for long periods, other broker estimates don't ever make it to Stockopedia and it can take a week or two for new results to be reflected on the system. So IMHO the calculations are generally very useful but some of the data on which they are calculated can be misleading.
I stll find the rankings very useful overall but increased data timeliness is the issue that would lead to a massive increase in the usefulness of Stockopedia.
