With interest rates potentially going down, UK stocks cheaper, unloved sectors coming back into fashion. UK companies attractive for buy outs, new Gov potential priorities being beneficial for certain sectors etc, if you were going to invest in the UK going forward - which sectors would you favour and why?
Its always a bit of lottery but assuming we are at the start (Nov 2023) of a new bull in UK mid and small caps two sectors I'm focusing on are house builders/building suppliers and UK fund managers.
The likes of Liontrust Asset Management (LON:LIO) and Polar Capital Holdings (LON:POLR) they generally have net cash and if momentum picks up in the UK and fund flows turn even mildly positive they should do well, plus most pay a decent dividend whilst you wait.
