I am a keen & experienced investor. I love my spread sheets, and like to think that I know what I am doing. I wouldn't be offended to be described as a bit geeky. Mostly I do well, but I always strive to do better. Married male. Born 1957 England. Good career in industry for 35 years. Been successfully investing for about 30 years. I chose to retire from salaried employment at age 57 to look after my investments. I consider myself to be quite analytical / logical / mathematical, but also take into account how the world is likely to change & how people behave. I always follow my processes before taking action. more »
Its spread is 3p. That could account for 3/85 = 3.5%. Its average true range (one measure of volatility is 4). So that could account for ~7% total, just at random.
It is within its recent consolidation range so nothing remarkable about the price.
Although there might be an 'event' I'm not sure you would need one to see this.
It could be swing traders piling in as it breaks out of a consolidation maybe? It may be at a new closing high, but it hasn't quite taken out the intra-day highs set in late July, will be interesting to see if it carries on and gets into genuinely new highs.
I was a hostage to fortune commenting intraday, however, it equalled its high on very low volume today. I suspect a small nudge to supply/demand could tip it either way*.
*(Not said when and vague on prediction. Perfect forecast.)
Hi Sharw, may I ask where you got the above data on the number of trades / volume ?

Thanks everybody! I've had a look at that info on the Shares mag site suggested , and, in my opinion, it's amongst the best quality info on recent share trades which is freely available.
Up 10% today on news that one of its mouthwash products will be used in a study on reducing COVID transmission rates. Perhaps the rise last week was due to insiders leaking the news? I hold.
