but is Oct figure for a compleat months production ?

No one can tell from the sonlite report.......

Not knocking the figures, just pulled them out of the link as I find it can be quite a confusing document to work your way around on your first read.

yes thats right , but going by the RNS on the 4th Oct (Shoats Creek drilling update) and 19th Oct (OM-10 well results) would suggest that production from the three zones did'nt start until well into Oct. and that the Sept figures was the oil produced when the zones were being frac-treated and tested in Sept. if right then Nov we should get figures for a full months production.

Just to keep things orderly, here is today's RNS on the US reserves.

This is a contrast to the "old" report from February.

Nigel has pointed out on the more general "Where to now" thread that there is a material increase in the 2P figures and a "material decrease in 1P.

The first report was effective from 1 April. This newer report is as of 1 April so we have to remember that there has been three months of production in there so its more depletion than downgrade.

What is pleasing is to see that the independent assessors have come up with a better overall understanding of the fields, especially SC and that has allowed them to upgrade reserves and NPVs accordingly.

This should help cashflow based on Activa's earlier comments - page 10 of AR.

Aminex participated in a successful oil and gas well in 2008, Sunny Ernst-2 (‘SE-2’). SE-2 has been producing from Upper Andrau sands since inception, but this has now materially declined, adversely affecting Aminex’s
group revenues. A project to plug off the Upper Andrau formation and recomplete the well in the shallower ‘S’ sands is in progress at the time of writing. (my bold)

It would have been clearer if the El Paso JV share of reserves had been split out and 50% of it shown, rather than us having to guess at that split.

Good news with the successful recompletion of the 'S' sand:

This interval has now been successfully tested and is on limited production of 3.5 million cubic feet gas and 260 barrels condensate per day, pending the installation of upgraded production equipment which is due to be operational this month.

Whilst some may focus on the initial flow rate (which aint bad), it would be a mistake to ignore the comment about the "material" increase.

Note the very small choke used and the pressure.

Yet more good news ahead of Nyuni 2 spud and will the market pay any attention whatsoever?

Activa news release out today - SE2 producing at approx 1,100 BOED after recompletion.

At current production (5.1mmcfgd plus 258BO - approx 1,100BOED) and prices this gives USD2m in production revenues net to Activa during FY 2011 (to end Dec). After enhancement of the dehydration facilities production will increase by circa average 30% (6-7mmcfgd plus 400BO), and of course full year production, should result in an ongoing increase in net revenue of say close to 50% or USD3m revenues looking ahead.

Activa have 20%, Aminex 37.5%, so just over USD5m net to AEX looking ahead. But back of an envelope so DYOR.

I was sent an email, and their website does not yet appear to have been updated - pdf so can't copy and paste. But a good uplift on that reported on 5th May, and the further uplift to come has now been quantified. Every bit helps in underpinning the sp at current levels.

Still can't get out in the garden - steady rain, but at least no watering required tonight!

Yep, lots of squiggly lines my 4 year old could have drawn.

On a more sensible basis, very good announcement and not the progress in production from the 3.5mcf and 260 bcpd through to Activa's 1100boepd a couple of weeks ago to almost 1700 boepd today.

That's nearly 650 boepd net to us. A massive increase on last year and that's before SC and KN1.

Interesting comment from the AGM that came as a very pleasant surprise.

SE gas sells at a premium - $6.25-$6.50/mcf

Shoats gas sells at a $5/mcf premium!! Yes, that's right, $5 premium not $5/mcf price.

Wow! That's some premium. No wonder El Paso are turning Beauregard into a swiss cheese. Anything on the oil premium?

A nice increase after their management of the well. It seems to be coming good there.

I note that between January and April the well count was 1 but has risen to 2 in May, accompanied by a jump in production. I wonder whether OM-1 was shut-in during the first part of the year, with production from the old Robert Cain well only (which is under the same LUW, well #174416)? Guess we'll have to wait to find out exactly what Aminex has been doing but nice to see the increase.

The Activa newsletter has just come out. It's not on their site yet so here's the relevant paragraph:

The Sunny Ernst No. 2, in the Loma Field in southern Texas – on which we reported last time – continues to perform strongly. Since the recompletion in the main pay zone in May the well has been producing at daily rates between 5 and 8 MMCF plus between 250 and 360 BOPD. Current daily production is at 6.7 MCFD and 260 BOPD. This represents an 8-fold increase vs. prior production levels from the lower pay zone which already returned 3 to 1 over the original investment.

Looks like El Paso is being bought by Kinder Morgan:
