Skin Care Stocks....

My daughter and her friends are getting obsessed with the latest trend of skin care/facials. Names such as Baby Elephant, Glow, Byoma are just a handle that they are constantly asking about and wanting.

The problem I have is im looking to invest in these stocks but they are mainly private companies bar Shiseido Co (TYO:4911. which isn't the most liquid.

Is anyone else aware of this trend with young girls skin care? If so, are there any other popular products that I can easily invest in during this latest "craze"?

Yes they are trendy. My ex was buying them but she bought CeraVe which is made by L'oreal SA (EPA:OR). These are probably pumped on social media by influencers. I think is Drunk Elephant not Baby.

I hold Warpaint London (LON:W7L), not sure what products, they have in this area. They should have some, bet it is very profitable, these products are not cheap.

My only suggestions - not quite what you're looking for - is Croda International (LON:CRDA, which makes ingredients for things including cosmetics, and Estee Lauder Companies (NYQ:EL, which has a wide variety of brands in many countries.

(I don't hold either.)

Ulta Beauty (NSQ:ULTA) and Estee Lauder Companies (NYQ:EL) apparently are losing market share to Sephora, who are owned by LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:MC). Cosmetics sales are down in the US, this affected Warpaint London (LON:W7L) share price, about 1 month ago.

Do you mean Drunk Elephant rather than Baby Elephant? My niece who’s eleven and all her friends are big on skincare at the moment, and what they are buying/wanting is all driven by what they are seeing onTikTok and YouTube. No idea if that’s sustainable demand but you know kids they move from craze to craze (as do adults….). Have started to hear them talk more about Revolution Beauty (LON:REVB) but obviously more makeup than skincare.

Yes CeraVe is the other ‘main’ brand of skincare that is being pumped on socials, adults seem to like Kiehls too which is more of a premium brand and also owned by L'oreal SA (EPA:OR)

Sol De Janerio is a brand on fire & growing strongly. Owned by L'Occitane International SA (HKG:973) has really made an impact in the last 1-2 years.

Problem for Shiseido is proportion of sales linked to Chinese & TR has been weak. Tension between China & Japan (Fukushima) last year didn't help things
