Hi Readers - Looking for some advice if its out there please - I was reviewing the Small Cap Value Report (SCVP) when I noticed that most of the companies announcing results (albeit interm, final results or trading statements) differed from what I was expecting. I checked numerous sources i.e. my broker (AJ Bell), different brokers (H&L) and LSE website direct and all gave me different companies that were announcing results...so my question more out of curiosity is:

Where can I find an accurate list of companies that will be announcing results or trading updates in say the next week as they seem to differ dependant on where I look
Where does the SCVP (Paul Scott) find the results as these again tend to have different companies announcing results than expected.

Hi Micky,

A number of sites will have a summary of what's coming up in the next week. I tend to also use the IC to get a look ahead so I can see if there is anything of interest - they have a summary of "next-weeks news" which whilst not exhaustive covers a lot of followed co's.

I also keep my own spreadsheet of the stocks I hold/am interested in. Most companies will tell you in advance what is coming up - either in a TU or as advanced notice.

I also keep an eye on last years (and previous years) announcements from my spreadsheet as companies tend to follow a similar pattern. So I will populate it for the year in advance but without specific dates - simply, for example, 2nd week of Feb Co XXXX will have a TU (as they do every year).

Todays RNS's I get fed from my various PF's in Stocko so that they come up on my shortlist for immediate review at 7am. You can also use a variety of other sites to look at the full list incase Stocko's feed is running late eg. ADVFN, LSE etc

The ones in the SCVR, are the ones reporting results or trading updates on that day, if you look the news on the home page, down the bottom, from 7am you will see the RNS.

Problem is a lot of trading updates are unscheduled.

You could try ShareCast Company Diary which I find pretty comprehensive:
