Thanks Hevellyn. I hold IGC as well. Short term the stockmarket looks fully priced, but I think IGC have moved slightly into cash so still a long term hold for me. They have slightly underperformed but I think due to "froth" in sectors they do not invest in. Might be worth posting the link here- quite a few readers of this hold India Investment Trusts. https://www.stockopedia.com/co...
Yes Charles I agree that India Capital Growth Fund (LON:IGC) has underperformed but only very recently, my daughter contributes into the Jupiter India fund which over the same time frame is up 30% against IGC's 20%.
Last few months. Pretty sure it will recover, seems sectors they avoid are attracting the Private investor in India.
Thanks Helvellyn.
I have only recently re-entered India (having held an I/Trust maybe 10 yrs ago, sold when I needed the money). Now I am drip feeding with my choice this time being Ashoka India Equity Investment Trust (LON:AIE) . I plan to drip feed into India and into Healthcare (Worldwide Healthcare Trust (LON:WWH) those being sectors where I don't have enough knowledge to sharepick myself.
