Afternoon all,
I've found some funds with 'too good to be true' yields, and hoping someone can explain the catch.
By way of example, I've sorted the below list by 12m yield, several of which are in double figures and one is at 143%!
What am I missing here?

Thanks for your response, your snip show that the Div's paid for 2019 -2023 are well over 100%, so where's the incorrect data?
Are you suggesting that the data provided by the service we both seem to be subscribed to is garbage with your GIGO comment, hope you can explain as it may affect my subscription choices?
Do all the other funds in my list look ok to you or should I dismiss those also? Really grateful for your views.
I would suggest the "dividends" you are referring to are the incorrect data. It's an accumulation fund in any event so the yield here is zero, although any income might be reinvested for you, but not at 100%+ I'd suggest. Comparing these supposed dividends to the total return of the fund over 1 year, 3 years etc. and the price chart show that this could not be the case. So I wouldn't take this data at face value for funds, you should always do your own research and confirm figures directly from the managers & their fact sheets etc.
As for Sharepad - it's generally good for share data, it's probably OK for Investment Trust - not sure about other funds data, although it might be good for basic reference data like sedols etc. Hope this helps
