Hi All,
Firstly Franco Mancha's new restaurant in Bournemouth has been offering 200 pizza's free every day for 5 days which ends tomorrow, so if you are in the area and want to give it go make sure you're there early (opens 11:30 usually all gone about 13:00)
Anyway back to the review
1. The menu was simple without a massive choice but what stood out for me was the price with the most expensive pizza being under £8. Also, the free water was a nice touch.
2. All the main chains are in a stone's throw but similar pizza's were about £12-£13
3. The layout was simple and seemed popular with the younger population although this might have been influenced due to the pizza's being free
4. The location seemed excellent with a large footfall and small amount of outside space
5. The one negative I found was that the waitress who served us could have spoken better English.
6. So I see this as the Wetherspoons of the pizza world and I think it shows great promise.
A Real Greek restaurant is also opening close by shortly, I had a look at the menu which also looked competitively priced but I'm not sure it would be my cuppa although my sister's boyfriend who's at University say's it is very popular with other students.
As you can guess I'm long on this stock but I thought I'd try and give a helpful review following all the other useful information I've found from this site.
Kind Regards
Rob
I also visited a Franca Manca (with my teenage daughter) to validate my investment in Fulham Shore (LON:FUL). I went to a well established one in London near to British Museum. Went around 5pm and it was busy but then completely filled as workers left for a quick social meal on way home/way out for evening. Many other restaurants nearby; only this one was full when I left. Food excellent, my view on value for money was that it was great. Very smart menu - very simple range of easily cooked items but all sounded very good. Limited choice but good value wines and beers and free water as you arrived and if you wanted a re-fill. Small site but therefore easily filled and felt lively. I would go back and so would my daughter with her friends. Much nicer, friendlier feel than the many other chain Pizza places out there. Only negative was the menu which has quirky fonts that were a bit hard to read.
As a long term hold investment, unless there is a major cock up by management, I think it would do well. I already hold and will buy more.
Only concern is that so few shares seem to be available and not yet sold to institutions. Upside is that this will come and explode the share. Downside is they are not interested for some reason.
