Looking good so far...
If we're hitting all-time-highs, how are we also cheap? Is everyone else hitting higher all-time-highs?
(By the way, you'll probably get more traffic here if you put a link to this post in the SCVR. Shame, but there it is.)

Please don’t encourage such behaviour. The clue is in the name- where is the crossover between small cap and large cap indices? Furthermore, the SCVR is already getting cluttered up with bothersome irrelevancies, like investment trust talk, for which there is already a perfectly good alternative
Hi BnB, I do generally agree. I was writing this hot off reading the discussion on SCVR reads compared with other posts in the dividend post, so it was on my mind. Too long ago to edit it out now. A link in the SCVR to another post is realistic, I think, but not a full cut-and-paste repeat if it's not small-cap related.
It has taken a long time, not even doubled in 20 years, compared to many indexes it is very pedestrian. Most stocks are laden with debt and there is low growth. They do pay out fairly high dividends, though.
Ten days later… Yes, you are right, Quest!!
FTSE 100 stock index closes at new all-time high https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/bus...
It's an all time high in sterling terms but in dollar terms it is still well below its high of 2008. Hopefully this graph from Bloomberg's point of return can be seen below.
