Frontier Mining granted 12 months extended license of from Kazakhstan company news imageFrontier Mining (LON:FML), the AIM listed gold and copper exploration and development company, confirmed today that the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources in Kazakhstan has extended the license period by 12 months, to allow Frontier to confirm its reserves and submit development working programmes for those reserves.

THe extension covers the Koskuduk, Baitimir, Naimanjal, Beschoku and associated satellite deposits and enables Frontier to continue test production at all deposits. To supervise the scientific and technical work programme required at each site, the company has appointed the National Centre of Earth Science, Metalurgy and Concentration.  CEO of Frontier, Erlan Sagadiev, commented:

We are especially pleased that this licence extension was achieved during the reorganisation of the MEMR as it will provide our new management with sufficient time to undertake more thorough development work, particularly in the promising Baitimir copper deposit.

Frontier Mining Ltd is a development stage mining company operating two licences in Kazakhstan. Benkala (50% owned) is a pre-feasibility stage copper project and Naimanjal (100% owned) is a producing gold/silver mine with satellite deposit extensions.
